The first incarnation of the Fred Perry/Wiggins collab was first seen back in March, with a fair amount of hype before it’s launch it proved to be quite popular. Continuing it’s success, an updated collection for AW13 has been officially announced, with some pretty nice threads for on and off the bike. Although his GC golden days are past him, he’s still a perfect modern icon for Fred Perry to inject new life into mod styling. Wiggins was involved in the design process of the collaboration from the very early stages. Inspired by vintage cycling jerseys of the ’60s and the heritage and style of Fred Perry, Fred Perry x Bradley Wiggins is a superior quality collection full of carefully considered details.

This season’s Bradley Wiggins Collection characteristically references jerseys from the Golden Age of cycling. Elements of vintage shirts are explored and blended with signature Fred Perry details, twin tipping colours lifted into colour block panels, a champion inspired stripe knitted into cuffs. Bradley has been involved in each and every stage of the design process, bringing his own ideas, inspirations and style and in turn, each shirt in the collection comes to to tell a story.

It’s not terribly exciting or groundbreaking, but it’s still a nice collection from the classic mod label. We particularly like chest stripe shirt and the grip bag featuring the championship stripe. Nice.
