Chris Froome becomes the first man to cycle from the UK to France via the Eurotunnel. The service tunnel which runs between the two main train tunnels provides a smooth 70km road from the UK to France. Froome reportedly completed the journey in just under an hour, hitting 65kmph along the way, Eurostar trains take around 35 minutes to complete the journey, while commercial ferry trips run roughly 90 minutes.
