Cannondale have launched a new pro team inventively called ‘Cannondale Girls’ to support women’s cycling, made up from six elite riders from different disciplines including Track, Road, CX, MTB, XC and DH. They’ll be racing and also attending various shows and events, promoting Women’s cycling and the Cannondale brand.

“Cannondale Girls are a new team for 2016. Made up of six riders, each competing both Nationally and Internationally across multiple disciplines. The aim of the team is to race at a top level but most importantly have fun and inspire other girls to get on their bikes, helping them discover the joys of riding.” – Cannondale

Team members are Adel Tyson-Bloor (DH/Enduro/XC MTB, Track Road and TT), Diane Lee (Cyclocross, Triathlon and Road), Emily Benham (MTB Orienteering, Fat Bike and XC MTB), Maxine Filby (XC/Enduro/DH MTB and Road), Natalie Creswick (Road, MTB Orienteering and XC MTB) and Phoebe Sneddon (Cyclocross, Road and XC MTB).

It’s great to see more focus on women’s cycling, especially from a major and influential brand like Cannondale.
