Canyon hails from Koblenz, Germany. It started out in the early 80’s selling bike bits out of a trailer and progressed to manufacturing in 2001, with a superlight carbon bike which only weighed 3.7KG (it actually snapped during a magazine review!). Fast forward to 2016 and they’ve fast become a very prominent name within the industry, thanks largely in part to their aggressive marketing strategy, along with some great decisions in sponsorship deals.

Initially starting with team Unibet.com in 2007 followed by Silence-Lotto, and most recently, Katusha and Movistar. Cadel Evans won his world championship aboard a Canyon, while Nairo Quintana won the Giro d’Italia in 2014 and placed second in this year’s Tour de France riding a Canyon

The CF SLX is one of our favourite bikes at the moment – a purebred racing beast. Offering the best geometry, stiffness and aerodynamics means this machine is capable of going seriously fast.
